Russian Gazette: Addressing the Shortage of Talents

In recent years, the issue of IT specialist shortages in Russia has garnered significant attention. Industry leaders and experts unanimously agree: the deficit of qualified personnel is emerging as a critical impediment to sustained growth and innovation. Ksenia Sheremeteva, Chief Operating Officer of Selecty Group, recently shared her insights on this pressing concern with Russian Gazette.

Ksenia firmly believes that the IT job market will not reach oversaturation in the foreseeable future.

To mitigate the current talent shortfall, companies must prioritize the training and integration of new developers, as well as support existing employees in acquiring new, high-demand skills. Despite advancements in artificial intelligence, there remains an overwhelming demand for individuals who can articulate technical requirements and oversee the implementation of these technologies.

"Moreover, many vacancies could be filled more expediently if compensation packages were aligned with prevailing market conditions. To attract seasoned professionals at the executive level, companies need to adopt a more flexible approach to their financial and other demands," asserts Ksenia Sheremeteva.
